I have been told by a doctor that I am an over healer of skin and that a tattoo would be a bad idea. I do not think I have full blown over healing like you will google and find. I have a few cuts and scratches that I had since I was a teen and they are slightly raised from the normal skin level. I do scar kind of bad but the over healing seems to only happen on a cut or scratch. Should I be worried about this if I get a tattoo??

You probably need to see another doctor then.

Im actually really confused.

A doctor says it would be a bad idea to get a tattoo.. Obviously a very clever guy who knows what he is talking about..

So.. you come on a forum to question what he told you. Mhm yeah i think a tattoo would be a good idea dude 🙂 do it

It’s kind of a no brainer if you ask me.

I don’t think from everything that I have googled for overhealing and tattoos it says of you get a artist with a lite touch then it should be ok. I was just wondering if anyone has any frat hand experience. That’s why I asked on here

The only way to know for sure is to just get a tattoo and see how it goes.

I’d say go for a very small one as your first, somewhere that can be easily hidden and where you wouldn’t mind having a bunch of scars if the worst-case scenario came to pass. If that small one goes well, chances are that you’ll be fine.

Above all, get a good artist and one that doesn’t mince your skin into hamburger meat.
