Skin grafts - Tattoo Forum

Hey, i want to have a tattoo done on my arm, only issue is i have some skingrafts there, not much, and only about the size of a british sterling 2p is what would be in the way, So does anyone know if they can be gone over? or does it really depend on the scar itself?

I should think that the grafted skin should behave like any other skin. Tattooing over the scar, however, shouldn’t really be done until years (decades?) after the wound has healed.

I also have a lump/scar on my arm from where my tribal tattoo was done unprofessionally a few years back. Alot of artists from many different places have said they wont even touch it until i get some lazer surgery. So i’ve planned that.

Im not too sure about your situation though, i would check with your Doctor and some tattoo artists in the area.

Well i had the grafts done when i was 4, (25 now) i think its going to take me a long time to find someone anyway because ive also got Tourettes syndrome, and most artists i think will want to avoid me incase of anything happening

As long as you aren’t overly twitchy, it should be doable. It requires some patience though, so you’d need a good artist.

Well im not extremely twitchy, but i can control for about 15minute periods, with a 2minute break, so yeh, just down to patience really:)
