(I really hope this isn’t located in the wrong section)

I have 3 Micky Sharpz machines and was cleaning them last night after a long stay in storage. I noticed the nice purple-blue tinge to the metal in a couple of spots but after cleaning them up it seems that great color is no more! Is there anyway to bring that purty color back? I have not polished them up yet, just waiting on Renaissance Wax (I am so wanting to baby the hell out of these irons!). Just wanted to ask in case there’s something I would do before polishing.

Any helpful ideas are welcome!
