I’ve narrowed it down to these three artists and I’d love some feedback on their skills. If you would, please take a look at these three albums and ignoring tattoo subject matter, give some feedback on the artists technical and artistic ability. I like all 3 of them, artist 1 was my first choice, but the more I look at the other two, the more I like their work.
Not sure what the etiquette is here, so I didn’t provide any names or shop names in case they don’t want to be referenced here on the site.
Thanks! :cool::D
I know nothing about techniques and stuff but for me artist 1 and 2, with artist 2 my fav.
Without putting a lot of thought into it, my first reaction was artist #2. 🙂
I like 1 or 2 but neither really float my boat.
To my eye a few of number 2s pieces are just not quite right artistically, perspective a bit off and a few lines that go nowhere.
1 is better but still a long way from great.
Obviously part of your choice has to be your ability to travel and cost so please remember I am basing my opinion on a world wide pool of artists to choose from but I do understand that Jason Butcher may not be possible.
Hi, I’m not an artist either so I can’t comment on the technical side but I think artist 2 also. Good luck and hope you end up with an amazing piece.

Hey, thank you for the input..Would you let me know which pieces of number 2’s you didn’t really like or which lines you were looking at? It will give me an idea of what to look at when checkin out other artists work.
I’m on Long Island, in NY.. So there are thousands of options available. Manhattan is less than an hour away, as is Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx..
Thanks!
Here’s some great shops around the brooklyn area, depending on the style you want. If you want to pay more and have a different style in mind then look up NY Adorned and King’s Ave. Or check out East Side Ink in Manhattan.

Thanks for all the links.. I’m going to check em out now..
I would pass on all three. #2 was a bit better if you were looking for a portrait. But I would still pass on him.
Check out the links Alder provided.
