    Its generic, everybody and their mom got one, and most of the time, they aren’t harmonic with the contours of the body part. There are some really great tribals out there, I quite like fractal-biomechanic tribals. But yeah most of the time they’re bad, and most of the time the bearer of a tribal just wanted a tattoo for the sake of having one. At least thats the case with the tribal people I know.

    Most of the tribal I’ve seen just looks mass produced.
    I’m starting to feel that way about koi fish tattoos. Some are beautiful but you cant swing a dead cat twice without hitting one.

    I don’t hate tribal at all, I just hate bad tribal so I hate about 98% of tribal out there.

    “Hate” is a strong word. I doubt anybody hates tribal in general. But it’s mostly incredibly unimaginative and poorly done, and as buttwheat says, THAT I hate.
