Got my first tattoo today on the back of my neck. It was awesome. Kinda hurt. It’s in memory of my pet rat, Ben. Who was a total sweet heart, unlike the depiction here. For some reason the comparison of the memory of sweet Ben and the looks of the sinister rat on my neck just makes me smile.
After care is sorta confusing. I’m finding a lot of conflicting information. I’m just doing the usual lotion and soap routine.
Anyway, enough of my babbling…
Was this done at a shop or in someones kitchen?
Welcome to the forum.
A spur of the moment tattoo?
I like it. Ive been wanting a rat for a while.
This was done in a shop, and it had several recommendations. The tattoo actually looks awesome, my camera just sucks.
I think that will look like a black blob eventually, even now its nearly a black blob 🙂

Please post another better picture of it, have a friend take the picture because the one you posted makes the tattoo look like crap.
Sorry if that sounds harsh.
Wash your tattoo 3-4 times a day, Let dry it thoroughly apply a thin coat of ointment (Aquaphor) do this for 2-3 days, then switch from ointment to unscented lotion
what you on about guys? that black blob is amazing?
I don’t understand why you are confused about the aftercare. Didn’t the artist give you a sheet to read over and take home with you that explained exactly what to do? This is standard practice in any legit shop.
Buy bepanthen( nappy rash cream) you can’t go wrong with it.
