I got tired of the bulk & weight of my 50D & 4 lenses when traveling,
up til now I have always carried this kit around with me,and with my laptop ,that is one heavy backpack !
    Canon ESO 50D
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM
    Canon Speedlite 430EX II
    Manfrotto 190XPROB/324RC2

so I ordered one of these the other day,for travel,we go to Maui & Kauai each every year, and I think this camera & it’s crazy cool features will do me just fine.

    Sony Cyber-shot RX100 Camera | DSC-RX100/B Review | Sony Store

and this too in 32gb version

SanDisk Extreme SDHC and SDXC UHS-I Memory Card by SanDisk

can’t wait to play with it,we are leaving for Kauai on the 17th for 10 days,I am really looking forward to carrying this around instead ๐Ÿ™‚

don’t get me wrong,I love my 50D & it has it’s place, just not twice a year to Hawaii ! LOL

These new kinds of tiny cameras with gigantic horse-dick lenses seem to be taking the camera world by storm. I bet that RX100 is absolutely fantastic, and honestly the travel pictures won’t really be any worse than they would have been from the 50D.

I have done recently just the opposite after buying a Nikon d7000. I love using it but have no clue how to use it properly so its on auto lol which is a shame ๐Ÿ™‚
