I miss California so bad. It’s cooler here in the southeast, but it’s so humid.

I like hot weather, but only if I don’t have to work in it.

In the early 1980’s I worked for a company repairing slate roofs. That was fucking hot!

That and copper gutter work. It really was fun because I worked mainly on historic buildings.

I also got to work in only cut off shorts and sneakers all summer. (yes, I did have one bout with skin cancer GraycatLove)

If you put on a shirt every time you go outdoors, aren’t you really letting the cancer win?

my wife kicked cancer’s ass a few months ago,she had Squamous-cell carcinoma on her right lower leg,she is cancer free now,and it’s a double whammy because the surgery was right on part of her leg tattoo,so we have to go back to Maui to get it repaired & added to.Like I told you fucking cancer has touched my life way too many times. After losing my father, mother,& grandfather to cancer, the cancer my wife had freaked me out. With that family history,I think about my own mortality a lot.

I’m sorry to hear that, Dan. I’m so glad she kicked it out on it’s treacherous ass. When I had my own scar tattooed over, I was amazed how you can no longer see it, so I’m sure her results will be good. The odd part is you can still feel the scar, but that’s. A vast improvement.
