I had a tattoo on Monday and it has started to become itchy today only 2 days after it was done. I’ve only read that they get itchy 5-6 days in. I’m using a fragrance free soap and a little E45 3 times a day as instructed by artist. Anyone else had itching this early on?

Some of mine itch after a day, some after a week, and some never do. I’m starting to think I’ve passed the itching phase, as my last four-five sessions haven’t itched at all.
So yeah, it’s just healing, don’t worry about it.
Just clean it and put stuff on it whenever you feel a need to. If it’s dry or looks dirty, just do it. It doesn’t hurt to do it more than 3 times a day.
Plus, really rubbing some ointment on it can help the itching. (Don’t scratch. Worst case, try something cold)
