Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys use Bepanthen after a tattoo and, if so, how do you guys spread it on your tattoo as I am finding it quite viscous? Do you heat it up first or mix it with hot water?

    Thanks for any help

Just spread it on there. Remember less is better

I just throw it in hot water if my tattoo is peeling/getting some scabs to lighten it up a little, or put it on damp skin.

I usually use Savlon or tattoo goo. Both work well for me.

I couldn’t disagree more you don’t want to trap water on your tattoo with your ointment.
Oh so many ways to heal a tattoo but the tattoo will just heal on its own no matter what.

Oh, not while it’s actually wet, just slightly warm/moist like straight after just patting it off. Usually only do this at the worst phase of healing, when there are scabs/dry skin and ridiculously hard to put anything on without it being waaay too much. But yeah, generally don’t mix with water.

I’ve used three different ointments on my new ones so far… Haha and they’re healing great!

I use bep and usually just spread it on thin but you can dip the tube in warm water for abit, makes it more usable.
