Alright, so here’s what happened, I’m angry, and I’m venting, sorry.
Anyway, my friend and I were supposed to go have breakfast together and go look at cars or something.
He tells me, call me as soon as you wake up, I wanna go early.
OK, so I wake up at 7:30, shower then call him. His mom answers the phone (his mom used to love me, she’s one of my grandma’s friends, I even lived at her house for 3 months when I was looking for a place) I say “Hey whats up, is Steve home?”, she says “No, he’s still asleep.”
Then she proceeds to initiate small talk. Alright, nothing new. Then for some silly reason…out of nowhere…she asks me what political party I belong to…I know this is a touchy subject for older folks,…so I hesitate and think about lying…I’m not a liar though so eventually I squeak “Libertarian.” She asks me if I’m joking, I say no. She then proceeds to ask me if I really know what a libertarian is. I say “Well with no disrespect, I do know what the hell I’m following and what I believe in.” She says, “so, you’re a kool aid drinker then?”

And then I just went off, and sadly I am no longer allowed at their house.
