Hey everyone I have been playing around with a couple different ideas in my head for my first tattoo and here is what I have in mind. Either the side view (profile) of a lacrosse stick, starting at about my hip bone and going up my rib cage with the pocket going onto my back. Or a British Lion filled in with the St Andrew’s cross flag, either on my shoulder blade or chest. I came on here hoping for some people’s input for placement as I have had a few of my friends tell me not to get anything on my side and have it go up my spine, plus I can’t decide on a design. Also if someone would care to draw something up and send it my way that would be greatly appreciated as well.

    Thanks,

Rib side tattoos are a difficult thing because they require you to see into the future accurately. For the piece to continue to look right, you need to remain fairly close to the weight you were when you got it. Gain a hundred pounds when you’re 50 (or lose it) and it’s going to be seriously fucked. I’m of the opinion that you shouldn’t get side tattoos unless you know more or less for a fact you’re at a healthy weight and can remain in the general area for the rest of your life.

As for the other, shoulders and upper chest should be fine no matter what you do to your body from here on out.

    Love. Peace. Metallica.
