That’s hilarious, though.
I started dating someone 18 years older and it’s got its own challenges. It’s funny because people make just such vastly incorrect assumptions. I’m not dating him for the money. He’s not dating me for my youth. (Although I imagine my youth doesn’t hurt.) People tend to assume the worst.
ETA: I meant “youth.” I’m overtired and have a bad case of the stupid.
Me and my ex were mistaken for siblings once, too. It was pretty hilarious, because we were at a rooftop of a hostel in London at the time, with a lot of people from different cultures and countries, we being the only Scandinavians there. The guy who said it, was black and with his girlfriend, and those two were the only black there.
So I just asked if they were siblings, and his initial response was that I was racist. After a moment he realized the punchline, and it ended up in a discussion about how its hard to tell people apart in different races than your own 😛
This is Andrea’s Japanese piece start and finish.

My fiance and I just work so well together. We have the same body language almost, or at least from what my future in laws have noticed. It’s not so much that way anymore, mostly when we were a little younger did we get mistaken.
Sam, that is so pretty now!
I really get along well with Mr. Muscles. I’m suspicious and introverted, and he accepts this as an introvert.
Never been mistaken for siblings with an ex – There either tends to be an age gap or we look so different I have to say I’m really more comfortable with men 7 years + my senior. We tend to be in the same places in our careers, nearing wanting a family, common interests, etc.
