I found out today a good friend and close neighbor died on January 2. He was 49 years old and died of a heart attack. He was going through a very stressful time with his wife and four children. May he rest in peace.
sad indeed,sorry for your loss,
scary when we get to be our age 🙁
I really need to reschedule this consultation.
I am so sorry, Sam.
I’ve been ridiculously busy lately between work, prepping for the MCAT, and more recently hitting some ice with my car and my pipes freezing in my shower. The more amazing part, though, is through everything bad and crazy that’s happened, it’s all readily fixable. Thank God.
I’m taking a little time off the end of January to go to New York. I need a break.
I have been off work three days out of the past 20. One of those was spent testing. Missed the forums, but wouldn’t have been here much even if it had been running. My tentative schedule for the next week:
Tonight: 7PM-7AM work, then meeting at 8AM.
Tomorrow: Do some banking. Head home to let landlord in to install cat door. Work from 7PM to 7 AM.
Tuesday: Work.
Wednesday: Work.
Thursday: Work, then try to sneak away to get ready for vacation in NY.
Friday: LEAVE! I’ll be leaving the laptop, pager, and any other electronic device I can shed except for my personal phone. Not taking a book or anything that requires a single ounce of brain power. I’ll probably sleep on the plane as much as possible, and afterwards, go to my hotel room, where I’ll also sleep followed by lounging.
Seahawks are going to the Superbowl baby!
My tattoo artist is moving, but in state, thankfully. I’ve been planning to get a tattoo, but I’ve just been too busy to commit to anything. I’ve had three days off this month. I’m exhausted.
One more night before I leave. Going to go for a record and try to sleep half of my shift.

I could use a super bowl right now.
I worked 20 hours yesterday with a 3 1/2 hour break to go to school

Ouch!
Federal law prohibits me from working more than 9 hours at a time, and I must have 15 hours between shifts.

I suspect that you are working too hard, but I know that you are working too long. My days are only 12.5 hours long, but it sometimes feels like 20.
When I first started working for the railroad as a conductor in 1976, I worked eight hours on, eight hours off for three weeks. I was a fucking zombie!

No my job has been pretty easy since I went to a union shop.
Mr. Muscles’ son and I had lunch. The conversation went something like this:
Him: So have you been intimate with my dad?
Me: I… uh… My sandwich doesn’t have… I don’t even… Pesto.
Him: Because you should!
Me: *spills lemonade all over the table just to escape conversation* OH!
Him: Are you going to marry my dad?
Me: Let’s order dessert!
Him: Are you going to?
Me: If you shut up, you can eat mine.

I cannot imagine how awkward that was. How old is he?
I was in a motorcycle accident the other day. My minibike wheelied right out from under me. Learned a valuable lesson….dont pull out the choke while in motion with the idle set as high as it would go. Lmao. I was Laughling even before I started sliding on the concrete. No damage. No rashed up tattoos. Always wear protective gear. Even if its a 6 horsepower minibike.
