My mate (bless him) is concerned that the stress of my job is making me way too angry.
I said well just the way it is – the job won’t change and neither will I.
He said no it is all in the mind and I need to find my ‘mental paradise’. I asked him how this worked he said do the following;
1. Close your eyes and clear your mind from the noise and distraction.
2. Picture yourself in a beautiful jungle clearing with a clear water lagoon.
3. Imagine yourself alone with nobody else for miles around.
4. Let the water lap over your arms and legs and relax, let the stress wash away.
He said did that work? I was like no it did not but not to worry I just need to extend this mental fantasy a little..
5. Watch the little bubbles of air rise hypnotically to the top of the calm water surface, rolling slowly over your forearms.
6. Stare down at the face of the bastard I am holding under the water who was pissing me off.
7. Laugh.
Yep I feel much better! ๐
