I bought a new car about two months ago, and am noticing a bad film on the interior or my windshield, making it hard to see at night or when light hits it a certain way. I’ve used Windex, car specific window wipes, and newspaper, trying to get it to stay clean. I am a non-smoker.
I thought I had heard that the dash/plastic/vinyl in a new car gives off some types of ‘fumes’ that will leave a film or residue on the window until it dissipates enough, but couldn’t find any info on that to see if it was true. Any ideas?
