I mean, if I had a preference with a city or region, I would have to say that the east coast is the best coast. Maybe not the hottest coast, but they still doin they thing. People like Nas, Jay Z, Rakim and Busta Rhymes. But I like the south too. I like Ludacris, Scarface, Outkast and UGK. They tight too. From the West Coast I like people like Snoop Dogg, DR. Dre, The Game and Ice Cube. From the Midwest I like Kanye West, Common, Lupe Fiasco and Nelly. Why can’t I like everybody. For me, if you black, and you making money doing something positive like this, you still reppin me. And I’m from DC. We aint got nothin here. I wish we did and I just wish that we as black people need to to just enjoy each other’s music. Because at the end of the day, it don’t matter where you go, you still gonna see black people just like you. To end I just have to say that we need to start supporting each other instead of dissing each other. We gotta start uplifting each other instead of talking down.
I understand that repping your city is important. But when it gets to a point where you dissing the actual city, then it is getting too far. I mean you got people on these damn blogs talkin about each others hoods in a disrespectful manner. I know that reppin our hoods is important. But when it comes onto the music, it’s like I don’t even feel that this is a Atlanta song, or a Chicago song. I feel like this is a good song. But when the song is over, because I’ve poisoned my mind so much with this region bullshit, all those feelings come back. Like man, cuz I’m not from Atalnat I can’t enjoy Big Things Poppin from TI, or cuz I’m not from Chicago, I can’t enjoy The People by Common. I’m from DC man and I just love music. I know a whole lot of New York people that love all types of music from all coasts. So when I see that people are sayin that New York is full of haters, I’m like wait a second, my boy was rockin to Grew Up a Crew Up by Ludacris a few days ago and he loved it.

How is rap “positive”? Do you realize how badly hip hop culture has hurt the black community?

Yeah, thanks for the thumbs down. Truth hurts don’t it.

It is stupid… But rappers do it o let people know that their city is putting out good music… When the east coast dominated rap it didn’t like no one outside of New York get on.. So people from the west had to start shouting out that their brand of music is the best… Same thing when the south was trying to get on nobody wanted to hear them so they had to start shouting out that their region is putting out good music.. Same thing is going on with the Midwest now…. Nobody wants to hear much from Midwest rapper these days.. So they have to shout out that the Midwest is puttin gout good music.. Personally I don’t think nothing is wrong with repping your city… As long as you ain’t talking about killing or blasting on somebody else city….
