i feel like hip-hop is old skool any after 91 rap was tupac, biggie and BTHN just for example. but hip hop is more like krs-one and rakim
I don’t know. I mean when I feel like being deep I know who to listen to(common, Talib Qwali, etc…) but that stuff is depressing. Most Def and Wu-Tang Clan are great, but I don’t wanna hear that in my car, at work, or at a party. Most of the time I just wanna feel good. I think that’s why the east cost fell off. They’re the only ones making a big deal about it.
There are two Hip-Hops to me. One is music that is fun and makes my hip wanna hop. Krs-one, Public Enemy and Rakim don’t get it popin’ for me, but I love em’ cuz they take me to the next genre of hip-hop. The deep, lyrical, poetic, and conscious side that makes you think.
Yea youre question doesnt make sense…Rap is a part of hip hop…Ppl are saying hip hop is dead…because the artist arent talented/keeping the elements of hip hop together and coporations are pushing this stuff like its the real deal. I mean come on we are being force fed stuff like Ay Bay Bay…All the music released and being played in radio rotations are sounding too much a like.Y because its selling…Theres is no different in Ay Bay Bay and Wipe Me Down but the damn tempo…lol Its annoying
Real hip hop heads wanna hear a MCees skills on the mic…lyrics…something that worth listening to and not just the beat…The songs being produced today are good for the club ONLY…I dont wanna hear the sh it in my car twenty times a day.
I agree with the dude above me. It made me feel like I’m lost in Buffie the Body’s ass cheeks.
If you think it’s bullcrap and you think everyone is making a big deal out of it then why are you perpetuating it even more by asking this question?
Is this even a question? I’m lost in this world of non-sensery. Your details don’t even make sense… Uugghh, I have a headache now
