…fitted shirts and the skulls? okay lately ive been seeing people “that consider themselve to still be wearing hip hop clothing” wearing tight fitted shirts with skulls on them the. (I know for sure that Dipset member and Lil Wayne started this trend)—- the brands were Ed Hardy & Christian Audigier—- are these brand actually hip hop clothing and also i have a question will this trend last. (Because i remember when people in the hip hop culture use to make of the people who wore tight shirts) and by the way the Christian Audigier is way to expensive for the average person i went online and just one T-Shirt cost$165.00 shit thats like a quarter of my paycheck for just a shirt. I Hope this trend does not last.

Yep, its gonna be around for a while. Its called “the Rip Rocker” movement. Basically it means that rap and hip hop are finally joining forces. {That’s why you see people like Travis Barker working with 3 6 Mafia and Justin Timberlake working with T.I.} Cds like Crunk Rock (LiL Jon) and Timbalands latest album are also becoming popular. FYI: you don’t actually have to buy that brand. Tight shirts with skulls on them can be found for about $30 at hot topic.

I’ve been listening to hip hop since it was rap. I’m talking all the way back to 1979. No one in hip hop is original. Timbaland is the only “original” one out there and everyone else just likes to bite when it comes to fashion. Look at Sean Combs (Diddy), the guy wears suits all the time….original but not original. Ya heard me? lol!

Hip hop style is beginning to lose its individual “flavor” and is starting to merge with other styles, like the rock culture. If the shirts are too expensive, why buy them? You don’t have to look like them, and there are other ways to look “hip hop.” And those brands aren’t technically “hip hop” clothes. They’re worn more by rock stars, etc.

Who knows if the trend will last? It’s just another passing fad like everything these days. If you don’t like it, don’t give in and ignore it. Trends are overrated, and you’ll just stop wearing it.

its a new style for the hiphop community, its not a new style b.c rockers have been wearin skulls and chains for years. the hiphop community has just been a little more showy about it.

it seems that hip hop is merging with rock music style for their clothes.
