    It may be that he has cataracts. Your vet could tell you. If he is going blind and you are not going to make him an inside cat, it would be kinder to have him put down. He would be easy prey for any other animal in your neighborhood and could easily injure himself even if another animal doesn’t get him. At least indoors, he has a chance of learning his way around so that he can find his food and water.

    Could just be an infection. Take him to the vet before it does turn him blind if that’s the case. If he is going blind though, just monitor his behaviour and if it seems he’s not coping as well outside as he used to, then bring him in. After a short period of time, any cat can adapt to being an indoor cat.

    Okay, I would take him to the vet. Then if possible,
    make it an inside cat.

    Here Are Some Tips For An Inside Cat!
    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    1. Buy one of those heated cat beds, it reminds them of thier momma.
    2. Buy one of those waterfall waterdishes, running water attracts cats.
    3. Buy it Soft Claws. They really do work. You can find them at your local
    Petco. You have to get a new pair evey six weeks!!!

    Hope This Helps!!!

    it could be blindness but it could also be an infection of the inner eyelid (cats have two) and the infection might make it hard for kitty to properly open his inner eyelid.

    Please get kitty to the vets a.s.a.p as it might be causing him discomfort!

    good luck!
