I want to start filming with a few of my friends. I write my own stuff, and I’m getting what’s supposed to be a good camcorder in the mail. My question is how do I change angles with one camera? I’ve thought about just doing the continuous shot and then editing the movement between the shots, to fake angle changes, but If I want to get the actors to talk when the camera is on them then I need to have them wait until the camera is on them. Is this too much to ask? any advice on filming with one camera and faking angle changes? I wan’t acting to be natural, and I believe that that the camera man needs to just be on the ball and let the actors do their part without worrying about whether the angle is right.
