I have a couple of scenes that keep repeating themsselves in my mind and now I am driven to recall the name of this film.

This was an American film. comedy genre. Based on an old fella, grandfather type, who set off from his family on his own. No wife from memory I remember one scene where on the way he picked up a hitchhiker who was a hooker and she offered him…well you know and the car then shot off a side road with the rest left to our imagination. Daughter or Son were trying to track him down while he did some soul searching and re-living life.

Film ended with his family- daughter etc catching up with him.

I probably have not given you enough information sorry.
