Classifying Vanessa Mae in Classical Music is like saying Jean Luc-Ponty is a jazz musicianist. (they have a hard time with classifying her – I believe she is listed as British Classical, Alternative Pop Music)

It is hard to classify some musical artist when they play their instrument in an unorthodox (or not the norm) way.

However, they have done studies on playing Classical Music (ie. Mozart, Chopin, Brahams, etc) to children and although it may effect their sleeping habits, and anxiety levels – there is no proof their IQ is raised.
