I agree with the comment that mainstream hip hop is dead…lol I mean they have ppl thinking that T-pain and R Kelly are rappers then there is a problem with rap…lmao I ignore the hurricane Chris type laffy taffy soulja boy rap…Its just just disgusting…lol Then you all of a sudden have all these ppl blaming rap for everything…Even Bush is saying rap influenced him to declare war on Iraq…j/k lol Suburbans white folk are upset cause their daughters are getting played by these cats and their kids are listening to it and tryna be something they dont know about(the movie Alpha Dog explains that to the T) lol The gangsta rap era left a long time ago…This argument is a little late dont you think?and these ppl are claiming that the lyrics are degrading women? Which ones? Um mm how many records are out that are doing such right now…The number one singles are dance songs…that you can barely understand what the hell they are talking about.
But to end this comment I believe that rap is alive…You just have to listen to quality artist like Common the Roots Ase Joell Jean etc word up
