    I have this idea for my next tattoo, but where I live, there’s only one tattoo artist in town and he’s not terribly good. I’ve looked through various tattoo galleries on the net, but I don’t see anything like what I have in mind. I’m a terrible artist, so I thought I’d see if anyone here could help me.

    What I have in mind is, more or less, a full sleeve. On my upper arm and trailing over my shoulder, I want a bouquet of roses; very stylized. Around my wrist, I want a bracelet of roses. Then between the bouquet and the bracelet, I want a tracery of tribal-style vines, maybe with rosebuds or something.

    If anyone could do a sketch of any of this, it would be fabulous. Either private message me or drop me an email.

    Since I really don’t know what you’re talking about as far as style goes, here’s a list of rose tattoos with different styles that I thought you might like. There’s only so much you can describe with words I guess. Once you’ve looked over the compilation, we can go from there.

    mmm i want my whole ribcage and side done in roses on vines, trailing down to my hip, just gearing myself up for the pain lol:(

    Izarra, I’m not too worried about the pain; it’s getting the design exactly right that’s causing me a lot of stress.

    Demure, I love this one for a general design of the bouquet I’d like on my shoulder/upper arm – I’m going to be going darker coloured though. More red/black. I like this one and this onea bit more for the style of the roses, and the style of this one and this one for the vines. I like the leaves that were incorporated in; I don’t think I’d get that many, though. As I mentioned before, I’m leaning more towards tribal-style vines.

    Well I just got a scanner/printer not too long ago… when I have the time, I’ll draw something up for you and we’ll see if I can make you something you’ll like. It’s not the actual art that’s tricky, I suppose it’s the design. What kind of roses were you thinking for the wrist? I know you wanted them sorta specific as well.

    Haha gotcha. I’ll space out the bouquet roses at the top a little then to give the ink room once I get to drawing them.

    The girl in the picture with the tat already? She’s in for a surprise.

    I’m not extremely picky with the design; I have the general concept in mind, but I’m really not an artist. For my wrist, I’m not sure what would look better – just a ring of roses, or a ring of vines with rosebuds on them.

    Anything you could do would be wonderful.

    For my wrist, what about a gathering of vines – kind of like a cuff – with either small roses or rosebuds? I think that might look neat.

    Sorry I haven’t replied in a while, I’m re familiarizing myself with roses. I’ve not drawn them in a while so I’m mapping out the design and seeing what works best. Hold tight!!
