First of all you need to decide where you want to get it. I would fully recommend keeping it somewhere that can be easily covered for employment purposes (it is on for life).

Secondly you need to decide on the style of font that you want – I would suggest looking through word and getting a feel for it.

It has many examples of written tattoos in many different styles. I am not promoting the content of the tattoos – merely the script and placement styles as examples.

Then you have to decide do you want it open or encased in a scroll or other type of frame. I personally would suggest open as you can alway add and incoporate it into a future tats (it never stays at one).

The cost is dependent on the size of the tattoo many artists charge between £60-£80 per hour so you could be talking an easy $200-$300 for a decent artist (prob less but talking ballpark).

Also do not rush the ink – think about it from all angles do you want it when you are 60, 70, 100?
I would suggest pinning that phrase up so you look at it every day for at least a month, or even more.
Get a marker/transfer write it on your arm and look at it everyday for a week or two do you still like it?
