My mother and father are still together, 41 & 48, and 3 years back now my mother fell pregnant. Given that i am 19 and i have a brother of 14, the news came as a shock to say the least. The family grew closer and it was a brilliant time imaginig a new little one running around. Everything was going fine until 3 weeks before the baby was due, unfortunately my mum had lost her, and still had to go in to give birth. As you can imagine it was a terrible time, that completely rocked the family and devastated my mother and father. Having a stillborn baby so late on was hard, as we had already started to buy stuff for her, and it took a very long time for my mum to be even able to talk about things.
Anyway basically, on the tattoo front, her name was maise and i’d like to get text on my forearm reading:
Now that you are up in the with the angels,
I pray to the lord that he keeps you safe
Our angel Maisie x
My mum fell pregnant again 2 years later, and we now have a healthy 1 year old baby boy in the family.
I’d just like to have this tattoo to show that even though she’s not with us, i will never forget about her.
If anybody would be kind enough to draw it out for me, i would appreciate it so much.
I love the font that the cities are written in, so anything along that line would be great.
Thanks for reading, hopefully i will hear back from some of you, Rob
such a sad story, im sure everyone will agree
that is a lot of writing for such a placement, i will draw it up for you, please give ge until tomorrow though as i am busy busy busy….. ๐
So sad….. I am sorry for your family’s loss.
It will be a beautiful tribute to your baby sister. Make sure you keep us posted when you go in for it
How sad, and how kind of Outlaw to draw it up for you, I look forward to seeing it done.
Thankyou for all the help, it really does mean alot.
Im new to the tattooing scene and so do not know much about u.k artists, are there any lettering specialists, or just any artists that you could recommend.
I am based on the outskirts of london/surrey.
Thanks again, Rob
how far is surrey from kent ?? outlaw could do it .
he did a neat lettering design the other day for some one , the style is like your after
im not sure how far you are away from me rob…. like butterfly said,im in kent, near the channel tunel ๐
once i’m happy with a design i’ll see what i can do, may be a bit hard as i dont drive though. I’ve been looking at andy barber in new malden which is a 5 minute journey from me. Anyone heard anything about him, if not, evil by the needle in camden is looking good and is easy to get to by train.
Any recommendations on either one would be fantastic as i havent heard many reviews from people that actually know what there talking about.
Sorry if it seems like im dragging this on but just want to make sure i get the tattoo as accurate and clean as i can, dont want to be regretting it in years to come.
Thanks, Rob
any artist should be able to do it rob, just check their portfolio and see if they have done any script work that you can see clearly..
i need to ask about your choice of words
Now that you are up in the with the angels,
I pray to the lord that he keeps you safe
Our angel Maisie x
the part in red dont sound correct, and the amount of words will mean that there is a chance of it not looking right when done, the letters would need to be very small to get all in.
could i suggest shorten it down a little so that it reads
sorry about the typo, that sounds fine outlaw, thanks for pointing it out.
The size doesnt really worry me, i was expecting the lettering to be small so i could fit it all in.
the problem with small letters is that they dont make goot tattoo’s, over a period of time the tattoo lines start to spread and get widr in diameter…. this means that small letters and details will start to mingle and merge which would look awfull..
just a bit of advice to take into cosidderation ๐
Yeah i understand where your coming from, if u still get the time to draw it out then it would be great. I’d rather have it there to look at before i make a final decision on whether to go ahead with it or not.
Also, is the wrist area more painful to get tattood that the forearm. What do you lot think of the london ink tattoo artists.
And lastly, theres a tattoo artist in america called mister cartoon, not sure how many of you are familiar with his work, just wondering if anyone knows any u.k artists similar to him.
Sorry about all the questions, just a bit excited lol ๐
Thanks Outlaw, you’ve been a big help so far!
1. yep i will draw it out tomorrow
2. i will be seing dan gold, nicole lowe and phil kyle from london ink on this coming sunday…. they are at the brighton tattoo convention. dan gold is my daughters idol, she had her photo done with him last year and got his autograph which made her day.. ๐
3. unfortunately aint heard of mr cartoon , but i shall google his work and see what its like
4. the wrist is nowhere near as painful as you might think…. its not a big enough area for what you need though
dont be sorry about all the questions, if you dont ask then you dont find out… anyways thats what this place is all about, and its great to hear your getting excited about getting the tattoo
remember there is no rush, you have the rest of your life to get it done… that gives you plenty of time to make sure everything is right before you get it ๐
after taking what you said into consideration about the size of the lettering and all that, iv changed my mind again lol, this time opting for a picture with writing underneath, i will attach the picture for you to look at.
Let me know if you think it would be possible as a tattoo and how you think it would look, in regards to size etc etc.
Im looking to get that, without the halo, on my forearm close to the elbow. With the head towards my elbow and writing underneath the picture. I Know it may seem like i really havent got a clue what i want, but i drew the angel out earlier on my arm in pen ( sad i know ) and have completely fallen in love with the design.
If you would be kind enough to draw me up the words R.I.P Maisie in a few fonts i would really appreciate it, if you do get a chance to look through some mister cartoon work, i love most of the lettering work he does so anything close to that would be brilliant,
Sorry again for all the hassle guys and thanks for your time,
Rob
