Best advice? Have your friend do some research online. Find a tattoo artist in your area that has experience doing koi fish and/or traditional japanese tattoos. Look at their portfolio. Go into the shop. Talk to the artist.

If there isn’t an experienced tattooist in your area? Go find one in another area. Now is not the time to be cheap and just go with the most convenient option. Your buddy is going to have this permanently inserted under his skin. Do it right the first time.

Translation: My friend wants someone else to design and draw his tattoo for him without doing any work himself. Anyone up for it? Oh, and if you want to volunteer to pay for the ink too, that’d be great!
