I question where this axe would fit in a ‘battle’ world. From the handle and proportions t looks to be no bigger than a hammer-sized wood-chopping axe. As such, it has no place in any battle. Thus, comparatively, the spike looks tiny (maybe a 3-4″ blade) and would break if it ever struck anything more solid than meat.

I do, but where does it fit if not in the realism category? It’s too detailed to be anything else, IMO, what with all that wood-grain in the handle and whatnot.
