Hi there, I’ve been designing my first tattoo and was looking for some help.

My idea is to have a tattoo that basically represents no trust. I was going to have the word “Trust” above an image with “No One” below it.

The picture I was thinking was basically a dark or evil face unmasking himself. This would represent people hiding behind the mask and revealing their true colors underneath. I was going to have a figure looking behind over their left shoulder while removing the mask. The mask I was thinking was going to be something like the comic theature mask and the face under would be something much darker, almost evil. I would also only have the image include the shoulder to head rather than the whole body.

I’m looking for suggestions of what the dark or “true” face underneath could be. Its going to be a no color tattoo and want it to be more of a real or dark look rather than say cartoon. Its kind of a negative tattoo I guess but I’ve just been realizing that no everyone is who they say they are and I’ve learned this “life lession” a lot lately.

Any ideas/suggestions/improvements would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I think if you made it cartoony like the old school batman cartoon, which was pretty dark and not like a googly eyes kinda cartoon, you’d have a lot more fun designing it and maybe find it a bit easier. It’d almost be like a more light hearted way of looking at a tough life lesson.

If you’re dead set on realism though my best advice would be to take the idea to a custom tattoo studio and ask them to give you a hand. If they are worth their salt they’ll be happy to help you (as long as you get it done there).

I love the idea of a figure taking off a mask though, it sounds pretty sweet.
