hey guys, the symbol of the tiger is probably the most meaningful thing for me. so i want to get the symbol for it… to me a single chinese letter is boring. any idea on how to spice it up? i was thinking maybe giving it a stone effect or making it look like it was carved in my skin. i am not sure? any ideas will be much aprieciated.
cheers,
Tom
i think that instead of a chinese character meaning tiger you should get an actual tiger piece. If it was done well it would be more pleasing to the eye and people would know what it meant! But if you insist on a chinese character there isnt too many original ideas seeing as how it has all been done before. maybe make it look like a brush stroke or somthin?
You want the symbol as in Kanji? Be careful getting tattoos in languages you don’t speak…………. I love images of tigers (japanese or traditional) and there are some amazing tattooers really pushing some new panthers and tigers that look badass! Just one persons thoughts.
i do want a full tiger but all the designs i have seen online that aren’t full back show the same open mouthed tiger rawring and i want something more meaning ful that a random tiger head. i want to portray its beauty and power. and yes, i mean as in the symbol, i will have to do some reseach into it just incase i am wrong.
So I can suggest some tattooers to google and hope they are close to you but can’t post links cause the boos woman put the smack down on me sending people to this new site/forum some are on to see. So try these names: Tim Lehi, Bob Roberts, Nick Colella, Chad Koeplinger, and many more. Do you want traditional or Japanese or chinese or ??
i want a tattoo of a tiger that looks like a real tiger, but as i said.. i really want a tiger tatto, preferably on my chest, so a more traditional looking tiger but i would like a background of some sort with it. i am probably going to be planning this tatt for over a year! The same sort of style as this image here, but in color…?
Find the tattooer who does tigers you like and let them work their magic. Seeing this reference I would say Tim Lehi if you can make your way to Blackheart tattoo in San Francisco. If you are thinking of a year away this could workout well as he is booked out for god knows how long. Make it a trip to the Bay Area!
