i think a lot of the ones you see in pictures are drawn on for fashion shows etc, mainly due to the fact that it is, as already stated, incredibly difficult to keep a continuous straight line with a tattoo gun on something as unstable as skin, i have a friend who was going to do it and the artist warned her about all the problems and so now she just has 2 pinks bows at the back of her thighs where the stockings would stop and no lines and they look great.

plus what might look good with one outfit (say a black pencil skirt) would not have the same effect with jean shorts and uggs for example, maybe just use eyeliner for when you want it? i have a friend that does burlesque and that’s what she does when she’s going out, she says its cheaper than keep buying new stockings! lol
