Hello all, I recently came out as a transgender to only my wife. (I believe i am a female in a guys body) Also please don’t judge, I’m not here for that. Thank you.
I want a tattoo that will subtly show this, what i was thinking was something to go along the lines of “I will not be confined by the shape of my body”
or “my true self lies within the soul”
or”you can see my true form within”
something like that
with a picture to go with, now the picture i was thinking of trying to design something like a soul coming out of a body, or within a body, not to sure on this, but id like a “soul” and a “body” to be invoved somehow
I want it to be very subtly showing i am a transgender, enough so if someone looked at it, they would have to look for a while and think about it to understand it, and/or ask me about it, i dont want like the transgender symbol thats to obvious and im very shy about the topic, but i really would love a tattoo of this for myself because it means alot to me, any ideas on what to do?

I dont get it. You say your shy, and that youve only told your wife how u feel. Yet you want a subliminal tattoo that people will have to look at for a long time to realize that youre transgendered? If you have a meaningful tattoo and someone asks you about it are you going to explain it to them?
I justvdont get the shy and not tellingbanyone but your wife. Id like to hear more insight into why you want a subtle tattoo.
If on the otherhand you just want a personally meaningful tattoo thats different. Very difficult to inject hint of transgendered
I can’t think of any symbology to depict transgenders. Perhaps you should try your luck in one of the trans forums. If anyone can give answers, it’s someone who’s going through the same thing. The rest of us can’t give you ideas for something that symbolizes your personal struggles, let alone something that does so subtly.

A waitress at a local restaurant is planning a “reverse” mermaid tattoo. It’s upper body is the fish and it’s lower body, from the naval down is female, VERY female.
This waitress is definatly NOT transgender though.
