Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone may have some ideas. My aunt, uncle & grandfather all passed away this year and I wanted to get something to honor them. The issue is, I wanted it to be small (looking to get it on the outer part of the wrist/forearm) and somehow incorporate all of them, excluding names, sentences etc. Something simplistic but yet means something. Just to give you an idea (most likely won’t do this) but my husband suggested the month of their birthdays in Roman numerals vertically next to eachother. It just feels a tad impersonal & I want to love the idea instead of just settling.
I was thinking also perhaps a symbol of some sort, but not sure what that would be exactly. A symbol feels personal without it having to be letters/numbers and representing something universal. Anyway, its not mandatory for all 3, maybe one at a time would be better suited. . Ive always had this deep spiritual connection with my aunt since I was little, and wouldn’t mind getting something just for her on the area mentioned ^ if anyone has any ideas they could throw at me it’d be a big help. Im feeling stumped! Thanks!
Welcome to the forum.
I suggest you get something not representing them so much as something they all enjoyed. Was there a particular time when you and them were all together and had a great time. Like visiting Mt. Rushmore? Or a good time at a Broadway show? Something that looks like a regular tattoo to others but has the special meaning to you.
I think tattoos specifically for memorials is a bad idea.
There are few things in my late mother’s life she enjoyed more that her morning cup of coffee. A tattoo of a cup of Chock Full O’Nuts coffee would be my choice for her.
