Hello! My 1st post 😀 (looks like a cool site..)

Question – I am getting a foot tat tomorrow…now I know a new tat is usually covered for at least an hour right after it is done but I was wondering if it would be ok to put a bandage on it the following day for a couple of hours as I have an outing and I am really not sure how to go about wearing shoes!!! I figured I would wear flip-flops but thought it might be better to put a bandage on it also so the straps won’t touch it…..or should I just maybe go barefoot but then I risk getting it firty and infected!!??

I will ask my artist when I see him tomorrow but I am too anxious to know if this woud be ok…otherwise I am thinking I will have to make alternate plans

when you have a fresh tat it is important to try and keep it clean and dry. however if you are going to wear shoes which will rub on the tattoo then protection would be a good idea.

Do you have a pair of shoes which are quite loose fitting?

if so i would prbably say wearing these along with some soft padding to protect your tat is advisable

Hi, i am getting a tattoo the 11th july friday 2008, i have work the next day and i dont think they would approve of tattoos, i am getting it done on my wrist so that my watch can hide it. my watch is quite tight fitting , i know that they say to let the tattoo breathe and stuff, but do you think it would be ok for me to put a bandage or cover it to protect it from my watch, and so that i can hide it? i guess i can always not wear my watch but i would definetly have to cover it up…

I am very anxious about getting my tattoo, i am a wimp when it comes to pain, but i really want to get it done especially because it is a surprise for my fiance… Has anyone got any tips on how to try relax when im getting it done? Im not going to look at it at all, i think i will faint!!!!
