    ok im 22 and i want to get my first tattoo, i dont know where, im not sure what exactly i want it to be. i want to get something that means something and not just the typical tribal around my upper arm like all the 18 yr olds get. but i want it to be something to do with my family cuzz its always been my mom, my 2 sisters, and myself, never had a father. but i mean like i said im not sure what exactly iw ant it to be. i was thinking something like my last name with 4 stars or something around it but i dont know i was just wondering if anyone could give me any ideas

    how bout a coat of arms. if your family have one then id say get that with the names some how involved.

    Personally with a first tattoo I’d say start off small well smallish lol keep it simple and make sure once you settle on your design that your happy with it before the needles touches your skin.

    when i want to signify friendship or a circle opf family or trust etc i always think of a circle with nodes on the way round.

    you could possibly use maybe four circles or four somethings which are connected to each other in the centre. thern colour each node in a way which will signify each person.

    that way it doesnt have to mean anything at all to anyone except the people who it is about.

    I think it is much more personal that way andi like that.

    Yeah mate – im in the same boat – Trying to get onto something original and something that means something.
    I recently did a little job and had to draw aztec tats all over ppl (check out the vid http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=l8K7j2LOJIM )

    I really liked the aztec tats they looked sweet hey. Especially the snake and sun

    What do you think? Ya could personalise/redesign something that is already out there to suit you. Maybe put something that includes your family

    Pretty weird, I grew up without me dad as well just my mum, bro and sis.

    getting tattooed is HORRIBLE!!! IT hurts SOOOOO BAD! lol sorry i had too. You get my vote for the family crest idea!
