    This is my third tattoo. it is also my biggest. it is on my left arm and about the size of my hand. this is all grayscale. my other tattoos have not peeled like this. I got it on Friday, it is now monday night. and all the lines of ink seem to be peeling. Im a little uneasy about this cause my other ink has not done this. it looks like it is peeling a lot and it seems a bit soon for that.

    any advice or words to calm me down?

    i wouldnt worry to much about it, mine peel just like sunburn, also different parts of the body heal in different ways, id only be concerned if the inks actually falling out, in which case go back to the artist and show them.

    All of mine have peeling the outline first then the shading/color. I wouldn’t worry much…keep it moist and clean and see what it looks like when it heals. You might need some touch up work but who doesn’t??

    It sounds perfectly normal and mine peel like an onion.
    I mentioned in a another thread that if you want re-assure yourself check out the ‘Paranoid about infection’ thread that lists the main signs of infection. (Unless you really are paranoid, and I would say don’t bother lol).

    And since yours is not on there i wouldn’t worry! 😉

    Different parts of the body slough skin quicker than others and heal at diff rates. Also the tat may have a lot of deep line work which will crack and peel as the body tries to seal the ‘cuts’. Again perfectly normal.
