I am still deciding on my next tattoo, I have quite a few ideas. As my last one didn’t go down so well with my fiancee we have been discussing one that we both like. The next tattoo I want is to go on my right side of my chest, and into the upper arm (it can’t go past short sleeve length becasue of my work). I very much like the Japanese Dragon style, but won’t bore you with the details as to the meaning behind why I want it. Anyway, I really like the style of this tattoo below, as the head of the Dragon is a little less ‘cartoony’ than the more tradititional ones, although I would probably want the belly of the dragon to be a little more distinguishable from the back of the dragon. I would want the head of the dragon on my chest, and don’t want the design to go down quite as far as the nipple:-

What I would like to know is if it is possible to tattoo in a Japanese Ink style drawing behind the dragon, kind of faded into the background. The kind of idea I have in mind is something like these:-

I also like this style of background but would want the dragon to be more prominent that the background.

Any thoughts or ideas?
