So i got my tattoo, i went and i signed everything not thinking about the ACCUTANE I’M ON!!!!
Yea that’s right i’ve been on it for 4 months the smallest dosage possible dosage allowed. It completely slipped my mind and then i looked it up and read about it and little did i know it’s like apparently 90% chance of scarring. See now i’m Really worried. I’m curious as to the scarring and how bad it could be? Like make it not noticable or just make it so i have to get it touched up in the future.

What are things that i can do to prevent total devastation, I only notice that my skin is dry and i have to lube it up a bit more than usual but other than that, i don’t notice anything different. Just curious of others opinions please help.

    Hi

I take it you mean the drug Isotretinoin??

Yes a common factor of that is thinning of the skin which can lead to scarring if you tear or puncture the skin. It also reduces the oils in your skin to stop acne this means that you shed skin more quickly.

If you had been taking high dosage I would suggest that you are at risk of fucking your liver (if you go over 4 mths) and yes scarring.

Low dosage means you need to up the amount of moisturiser and whatever you do do not take Vit A or other vit supplements whilst taking that shit. Your body will not take it kindly and will be puking like you are on chemo.

Takes around 21 days after dosage stops for the half life to flush out of system.

You should be fine just don’t pick, play or rub too hard also make sure that you moisturise regulary and get plenty of vegetables down you especially reds (peppers, tomatoes, beetroot) and normal greens will help support your immune system.
