I got my tattoo on Wednesday, and it’s scabbing over already, is that sound right?
Also, my tattooist recommended I use Polysporin on my tattoo for healing, but when I researched it, poly was one of the top DO NOT USE ointments for tattoos.
I was wondering what you guys use?

    Hi

I have used bethpanen, Preparation H, Tattoo Goo and Savlon (but this one was only for 2-3 days and light applications) then I tend to switch to a non scented moisturiser such as Aquaphor but have tried Vaseline Intensive Care which also works well.

Some ppl use antispetics for longer – I find after a few days my skin starts to itch and flake so I use moisturiser.

Polysporin is quite intensive and can lift ink if used too heavily but that said it is a very strong antiseptic.

I’ve only ever been to two different tattoo studios, but both recommend using bepanthen. I’ve never tried tattoo goo before, but it’s sole purpose is for the healing of tattoos, so it can’t be bad.

on my aercare sheets i personally advise either savlon or bepanthem, but only for 3 to 4 days untill scabbed then use none scanted or very low scented body lotion, it should be healed after 10 days, during that time if it starts to itch then give it a gentle slap
