Over the past couple months I’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo. The concept I came up with is to get a scripture(psalm27) on my tricep. The thing I am concerned about is if I would like to get more tats in the future on the same arm(half sleeve) would the scripture on my tricep look out of place?
i’m not super experienced or anything but you have 2 arms so unless you plan on sleeving both you could always do the other arm later. or put the scripture on the other arm, either way. but i think a good artist could incorporate it somehow, i’ve seen lots of people with sleeves worked into other older tats, my husband has 3 completely different ones on the same arm, its not a sleeve but it works okay. or if you are really worried you could put the scripture somewhere else, i’m sure someone else will be able to give more specific help…good luck.
Personally, if you think there is a chance you may get sleeved I would put it somewhere else.
Maybe on your chest above your heart?
Unless you were going to do a whole religious themed sleeve that is.
Hi Tecratt is right.
Scripture tattoos are very nice but making a sleeve from them can be limiting if you want a singular theme.
I have seen many religious tattoos and they can be addictive as a genre in themselves, but my advcie is the leg, chest, or ribs are better placement as if you sleeve you want it to flow.
If you are interested in getting a religious themed sleeve check this site out some very nice examples of religious art.

Sacred ink and BME are also good reference points.
As a side note are you getting the whole Psalm? From memory that is the one where David talks about enemies rising to consume his flesh and standing strong in the face of G-d as ppl also try to bear false witness?
That is some heavy shit to live up to. 🙂
Take care
