what do you think? i’ve wanted this piercing for a long time and just never felt comfy enough with the piercer to do it…now i found someone who’s available saturday, morning or evening. my tattoo (rib peice) is scheduled for 3 pm on saturday, about 2 hours of work, give or take. yeah super nervous about that one ๐ anyway, would you do both in the same day? i figure i could heal all at once and get it out of the way so i can get back to working out and later in the summer i can swim and all that good stuff. if its okay would you do the piercing before or after the tat? thanks!
Hi
Depends what sort of piercing and how serious it is.
If it is a standard piercing your body should be able to cope nicely with that and the tattoo.
If it is something a little more exotic (genetalia or a deep piercing) or higher risk of infection I would suggest waiting at least 2 weeks after the tattoo to let your body heal up.
Hope that helps and good luck.

it’s a vch…i guess that counts as more exotic?
Hi Crystal
Yes – you could get it done at same time but to be honest i would be extra careful and wait the extra 2 weeks.
Your body is gonna hit a lot of shock on either and will need time to recuperate and no pint in having extreme discomfort (as opposed to managble discomfort).
It is personal choice though I have known ppl handle both but i admit im a cautious old git. ๐
I won’t ask for pics on that one.
Good luck

hmm, i want to be cautious and not put my body through too much shock definitely…would it help to do the tat first and go on how i feel? the tat artist and the piercer (different shops) both say it should be okay…lmao, i actually think i may take a pic or two, with the unpierced bits covered up maybe. idk if i’ll have the balls to post em but i think if i can cover everything else sufficiently a pic would be okay with me ๐
Hi Crystal
Again it really depends on your comfort zone pain-wise.
If you feel you can handle it then do so but I always advise ppl that if you are getting stuff done do it in stages because there is always plenty of time.
The key thing is the aftercare – follow it to the letter and I am sure it will all work out.
