If you’re seventeen… it is probable that what you think is a great tattoo design to put on your body now is most likely going to be different to what you would think of as a great design in ten or twenty years time…

By all means go get a tat… but perhaps think of getting it in a place that is concealable in the future if (by chance) you don’t find that your adult self shares the same tastes as your current self.

Inside of your fingers is a cool place, but be aware that it fade faster than almost any other place because of the wear that the skin gets. The cells are constantly re-generating and therefore the pigment (tattoo ink) particles get displaced and eventually move along (to join the blood stream and get sh*t out probably)…

Yeah… that’s always a dilemma. I have turned down some great tattoo design ideas from amazing artists because I was ‘saving’ the skin for a larger grand idea sometime in the future.

My advice… don’t worry about it. If you love the design, you can probably figure out a way to have your sleeve added around it.

    Hi

If you are wanting to save the main areas for major pieces you could always go for the chest or thigh area.

As Wak has suggested depending on the tattoo it might be incoporated into a sleeve – but you have plenty of time to decide.

Can I ask what the design is you are after – is it still the DD?
