Ok, for the most part i have it planned out. The ongoing theme of my tattoo is going to be the decay of humans as a race; the missing elements.
I want to get it on my inner and outer bicep.
The first part of the tattoo will be about:
sub-theme #1: Inner strength:
for inner strength im getting gladiolus flowers, which symbolizes inner strengh, confidence and calmness.
Sub-Theme #2: seize the day, or live life to the fullest.
For this i’m getting a skull with rubies in the eye sockets (i’ll explain that in sub-theme #3)
****TAKE NOTE that the inner strength seize the day tattoos are also to honor a friend who is an a serious ill condition who, after seeing him in person and the struggles he goes through, taught me to be a stronger persons, take nothing for granted, and taught me wut truly matters in life.
Sub-theme #3: materialism. I am extremely against materialism, and i think it consumes peoples live. Money and material possessions become peoples lives and it quickly becomes all they care about, instead of human relationships.
Im getting the rubies inside the skull to represent to not only seize the day, but if you become a materialist in any way, your life ends as you know it. Im also getting a few diamonds and emeralds scatterred throughout the tattoo, meaning that i have all the material possessions on my body, i dont need any more.
And im also getting an upside down tree( VERY IMPORTANT!), so the roots will be going up, and the branches below. That means that humans need to turn their thoughts to the roots, and that most are caught up in the branches (material possessions, jewelry, money, etc.), some dont have the strength to go back to wut they love, but need to go back to what they truly cherish in life and go confidently in their dreams.
and FYI, the tattoo will be filled with lots of colors, that are bright and vibrant!!
PHEW! thats all =)
How does it sound???
(PLEASE BE HONEST)
Thanks so much!!! =)
Sounds like an amazing theme to stick to for your tattoos…
I’m not %100 sure of the symbolism on the “seize the day” one, however.
The skull wouldn’t really match the others anyway, if you ask me.
i love the imagery and symbolism in this idea! I really like the skull with rubies as a materialistic symbol, although I’m not really sure how it relates to living life to the fullest. My only concern would be incorporating all of these symbols into a design that looks coherent and not like a bunch or random images thrown together. but if its done right it should look awesome!
