hey ive been an avid writer all my life and was thinking of getting a quote done on my back from the best writer out there, one William Shakespeare. So far ive either been thinking of getting “Come What Come May” or “To thine own self be true”. and feedback or other suggestions?
You would know better than anyone else what words you associate with yourself… but:
Shakespeare wrote SO MANY words… perhaps you might want to find something less commonly known. With such a vast body of work to choose from you are likely to find a phrase that really really suits you or strikes a chord or sums up your love of the written word… or all of the above!
The fact that it may be obscure or less known as a WS phrase just make it even cooler (to me anyway) because people will ask you about it and you can explain where it came from – what poem what play what act what scene who the words where said by and to whom? heaps of good story around it!
Good luck!
I love Shakespeare, and I plan on getting some quotes by him one day too.
I love ‘I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none’
and ‘And thus I clothe my naked villainy, with odd old ends stol’n forth of holy writ, and seem a saint, when most I play the Devil’
He’s got so many good quotes, it’s not hard to find one that you think relates to you perfectly.
