I know you can cover a tattoo with a bigger tattoo, but can you put a scriptur over another tattoo and not cover it?
Like i have words going down both sides of my ribs in black. I want to get scripts shaped in a cross over each one in red, would i be able to do this or would the red go away in the black?
Thanks,
Shaine
Hi Shaine
The letters would have to be big enough to cover the black letters that are already there. They would also have to be bolder otherwise the black would just show through and it would a right mess.
For example:
this is the size of my orig scripture tattoo.
THE TEXT WOULD HAVE TO BE THIS BIG OR BIGGER, ALSO BOLDER TO COVER OVER THE ORIG LETTERS.
I hope you get what I mean (and no I am not ‘shouting’ :D).
My advice would be to get the crosses done in bold red to cover the orig wording and maybe then add the new wording in black over the red cross.

thank you for the responce Matthew but maybe I said what I ment wrong.
Like I want the script and the words along with it…
like the word is verdical right, so the cross would be there and the verdical word as well.
I don’t want to cover the word I want to add the cross too the word
Hi
Depending on spacing you could add a cross behind the tattoo by shaping out the red ink behind the black so it forms a red cross.
Might be tricky really need a photo to see how well it can be done.

thats one of my sides, i’d like to get a script over the it in red, but not cover it…
so you see both the Angels and the script
Hi
To be honest it is not going to work that well if you try to go directly over the black – it can be done but runs a chance of just looking faded and botched up.
Why not have the scripture running down both sides of the angel word in red instead?
It would form a really nice border to the tattoo.

that is a good idea, should i try and shape it on the sides or just have it running down the sides??
