Was wondering if this is possible or how it would look if done? I used to be very overweight and have some on the love handle area. They suck and I was thinking of a water design on one side and a fire design on the other because I think it would look cool and cover those things up. Eventually tie it in with an entire backpiece design. Anyone have any experience with this? First post too, so I’m not sure if I posted this in the right area, but thanks for any replies

that seems like a good idea, but maybe you should research the internet, as with scars and things I think it depends how wide/ deep the marks are, there are some creams which are supposed to reduce stretch mark scarring so you could try some of those and try to reduce it as much as possible before consulting a good tattoo artist who may be able to help you out.

I’m currently 280, chubby with rolls and I am getting my ribs/rolls inked real soon. Stretch marks and all. If your stretch marks are still a thick rubbery-red color I would reccomend waiting a little.

I lost almost 100 lbs and it’s been about 6 years, so the marks are just white now.

    Hi Husker

You be fine if the skin area has healed.

Tattooing over scar tissue is a little harder to do as you really need to make the ink stay in without damaging/tearing the lower dermis.

That said a skilled artist should be able to do that for you.

Post up what you have done – looking forward to seeing it.

    Take care
    Matthew
