i ordered “machine gun” magazine from eikon and found this book too..”basic fundamentals of modern tattoo”. has anyone heard of this book or ordered it? it seems high quality and has a educational web portal to go with it.

i’ve been doing an apprenticeship under my uncle which is great but i dont want to learn from just one person…but i cant leave him yet either. so i thought i would look for technical books.

Nope, never heard of it. Everything I learned, I learned the hard way.

    Hi

I have ehard of it and like many similar books of it’s ilk it is ok. However it does not replace the need for serious practice, dedication and tutoring of a skilled artist.

There are no magic tips in these works or shortcuts.

My advice is if you are apprenticed already save your money.

What Matthew said. Seriously, there are people on these boards who would kill a baby to get apprenticed.

Well, an English baby, and I guess that’s hardly the same thing anyway.

not wishing to go down this old road but an ‘English’ baby! ouch!

and apprenticing is the best way to learn anything, most tattoo artists nowadays won’t teach others because they don’t want to introduce more competition.
