So I want to get a tattoo of the serenity prayer. Where is a good spot to get a tattoo like this? I love the idea of the prayer on a scroll… like this tat. I don’t wanna jock this in any way, and was wondering if you guys had any ideas that I can give the artist when I go in for a consultation on tues. Thanks!

Pec, side of calf, shoulder blade….or go big and get it on your theigh in a decent size.

Or maybe you can turn it into a bigger piece and put it on your upper arm. Maybe add some angels w/clouds or something along those lines. Customize it to your likings cause it’s going to be on you untill death!

Wow. So I’m thinking the same thing. Get the prayer on a scroll or something along those lines, with an angel on each side more or less leaning on the scroll looking over it. Than fill in the rest of my arm with some light clouds or something. That’s nuts. But I’m wondering should I gwet it going from side to side rather than up and down? I’m scrawny as hell, this girl’s biceps are bigger than mine… second should I do it on the same side as the luther rose I have on my arm? I could make it all one piece. It would also flow with that rose because it doesn’t go up and down either (you can see it in my album). Any help is awesome. These forums are sweet!

Judging by the size of your arms I would reccomend putting it on your chest/leg/back.

I don’t think it would fit right under your pre-existing tattoo….but again it’s your body just food for thought.
I’m looking forward to seeing your finished product.

i thought about the serenity prayer too but i’m limited to area. what i thought about doing was putting the words “serenity, courage, wisdom” in a circle around a set of folding hands and right above it putting “God grant me:” i like the scroll idea but i would use a different one that in the pic. maybe an old world style that slants on the rolls instead of straight up and down. and a different type of scrypt.

Hanks for tjhe input 🙂 I guess i ‘m kinda confused about the word sytle you mean… you mean like an old english or something that leans to one side? Thanks again! And what kind of script would you suggest?

personally I myself would go for a cursive handwriting script of some sort. Old English letters would be too large for an upper arm piece unless you did only the first letters of each section.

Ok right on. Do you have any scroll ideas for me? And what do you think of like a cherub on top of the scroll… I was thinking like just the upper half of it’s body showing, like it’s behind the scroll and it’s hand in like a fidst under it’s chin looking down…. thoughts?

Ok I like this scroll too, but I don’t see that fitting on my arm, lol. Do you like how it’s like almost 3D or what?

I really like this one too’ and I think the cherub would sit nice on the top of this… but it’s almost the same if not the same as the girls in the picture’ so I don’t know.

Along these lines, putto or cherub (whatever you want to call it…) looking down.

yeah i think the cherub would look good over the first of the three scrolls in the pic.

    Hi

Would make a nice tattoo – personally you might want to go for a chest/pec piece as the cherub is gonna need plenty of room so not to look cramped.

Here is a link for religious inspired tattoos – the fonts may give you some inspiration.

Looking forward to seeing your new ink.

if you have a lot of money unlike me, i would go with a pretty good size tat of that on my back with clouds with rays of sunlight poking out with angles coming down and landing on it

Man I would love a back piece but I DO NOT have the money for that, lol. Sherav, Do you think having a hairy as hell chest would affect being able to see the tat? I don’t wanna have to start shaving 😉
