Well I got my first tattoo about a week and a half ago of The Luther Rose. It took me a lot of time to come up with a design that was important to me and something I wouldn’t regret. I think she did a great job, but the other gold ring bugs me a little bit. depending on how my arm is the circle looks distorted, but I expected that. If I have it straight out like it was when she put on the stencil, it’s good. But there is a part on the upper left side where the ink seems to have run off a little into my skin… is this a blown line? My question is this: would thickening that outer line look bad, or would it make it look better? Any input would be great! This is my first post here and like what I have found here so far.

Personally I think a black (or dark) outline – almost as thick as the gold ring its self – would look good.
This is of course a personal opinion.
Good luck!
Ok. I see what you’re saying. She said she’d give free touch-ups for a year, so I wonder if I should just go back to her. I found a place in mn (I got this done in WI) that just blows me away called uptown tattoo. Who should I go to? I think I’m to much of a perfectionist for my own good!
Hi
A thicker outline would def set the tattoo off better (again just a personal choice).
As for the artist if you feel the first artist has done a good job then let them finish their work, if you are not happy then try a new artist.
Hard to say as from the picture it is a nice tattoo you have had done.

Thanks Sherav, here is a closer picture. Do you see the smudge on the upper left side of the tat, ir am I just being way to OCD. I think I’ll get it thickened like you guys said. I just hope it doesn’t smudge like that again! Man I would hate to tattoo me, I’m to damn picky 😉

well…that’s a great tattoo design… good job…
I’m also can fell that tattoo was important for you…
I would have told the artist to use loose 8’s on the outside to make that shit bold, and then do the inner workings with a tight 7.
But it doesn’t look bad.
